Only 7 courses separate you from becoming a 3D video game designer. Specifically, the 7 courses that make up this Unity Domestika Basics, a real-time platform used to create half of the world's video games. From the hand of Álvaro Arranz - videogame designer and Unity and robotics teacher - you will learn to manage Unity from scratch and you will get acquainted with one of the most used programming languages: C #.
You will start in the first course knowing and configuring Unity. You will download it and do a tour of its interface, discovering each window within the program, the types of files you can create and finally some basic programming.
In the second course you will get fully into the project properties and create your first script basic. You will configure the gravity of your world, the quality of the image, you will define the name of your game, its icon and you will assign labels to the different elements that compose it.
You will advance in the aesthetic part of your project exploring the possibilities and potential of the land in which your game is developed. You will create the terrain, shape it and add elements like trees and sky to make it more realistic.
Once you have learned to build the stage in which the game takes place, you will focus on the action that happens within it. You will create the character you will play with and a few basic actions such as movement, shooting and item collection.
Your project will continue to evolve visually in the next course, without that meaning a sacrifice in performance. You will learn to provide your light project, placing light and shadow sources and configuring them in different ways on your stage.
What is a game without enemies to defeat? You will bring action to your game by creating enemies with artificial intelligence and prefabs . You will learn to create spawn where enemies will be generated automatically.
Every game needs an interface that shows the user information about what is happening and that is exactly what you will build in the last course. You will develop the interface of the game scenes and a main menu with the button to start playing.
