If we look back in time, ancient legends and stories were what fuelled fantasy and other imaginative worlds through incredible narratives. Myths and archetypes of these stories are what inspires illustrator Ina Hristova to create her poetic images, filled with emotion and strength. She has illustrated for many children’s and youth books for a range of editorials and clients such as Faber Castell, Kirrei, El Malpensante (Colombia) and Light Magazine, among others.

In this course, Ina will talk about the potential of a graphic image. She teaches her methodical process to illustrate stories, exploring light and shadows, which are essential to master when illustrating a folk tale. Learn how to illustrate expressive gestures, how to create scenes, and create an extraordinary universe for your first illustrated book.
