The life-long PowerPoint has been competitive: an animated video can be all you need to explain a business idea or a product in a fast, interesting and didactic way.
Raúl González, better known as Rulascalaca, is a Mexican animator and illustrator specializing in motion graphics and, specifically, in the creation of animated short videos. In this course, you will explain the best and most efficient way to present your business idea on the Internet, through a short animated video, starting with the concept and ending with animation.
Description
You will start by getting to know Raúl, who will tell you about his studies, his professional career and will also make a tour of his influences and artistic tastes, from comics to videogames.
Before starting to illustrate and animate, you will review with Raúl the storyboard and script of the project with which you will work.
Then, you will define the graphic style of your video, first sketching the illustrations with simple strokes, to then generate the final strokes in vector. You will know the basic principles of the application and use of color and you will define a chromatic palette to unify the graphics of your video.
Before you start animating, you will separate your artwork into separate files and leave them ready to be taken to Adobe After Effects. Within this program, the first thing you will do, will be to organize the project: paying attention to the names of files, folders and the general outline.
You will start animating from the general to the particular, starting with the scenes, then going one by one animating the elements and characters that compose them.
You will make special emphasis on the animation of the expressions of your characters, planning a rig with which you will apply movements and facial and body.
Raúl will teach you some techniques to give dynamism to animation, such as the transition between scenes, masks and use of keyframes to give that extra touch to your project.
Finally, you will learn to integrate sound effects and music to your animation.
