Course author
María Luque

The creation of a graphic novel requires taking into account creative aspects, but also organizational ones. María Luque is a cartoonist, illustrator and artist. He has published The Hand of the Painter , Transparent House and News of painters , for which he has received several international awards. In this course you will learn how to embark on a project to create a graphic novel from the birth of the idea to its publication.

From Maria's hand you will develop your own graphic novel, choosing and controlling each of the processes: you will write the script, you will select the materials you want to work with, you will define the characters and their stories and you will see how to publish it.

Description

Discover the process to create a graphic novel from the birth of the idea to its publication

To start you will know better the work of María Luque, who will tell you about her artistic influences and her graphic novels of reference.

Then you will start to pose ideas for your graphic novel and Maria will explain how to develop a work plan with realistic goals.

Later you will get down to work; you will write the synopsis of your publication, you will choose the materials to work on, you will define the characters and you will pose the rhythm of the story to be able to tell it in vignettes.

As sometimes the creation of a graphic novel can be a long process, María will share some tips and secrets so that the process of creating your graphic novel is fun and you maintain the enthusiasm for the project from the beginning to the end.

Once you have your finished vignettes you will know the process to share it: from finding a first reader or an editor to what to do once your project is finished (submit it to contests, to publishers or self-publish it).
