In the second unit, get introduced to the technique of marker painting. Tania gives advice on the uses and types of two tools: paper and markers. Then, explore some basic elements of color theory and learn how to create more harmonic palettes.

Before you start coloring, learn the origins of manga and anime. Understand the main aesthetic characteristics of each, including their distinct forms of expression.

Next, Tania teaches you some different coloring techniques used for manga. Dive into lights and shadows, skin tones, and hair and eye colors before illustrating the clothes and small details of each character.
