Enter the bright and cheerful world of 3D designer Martine, whose colorful creations immerse us in a playful universe and open the doors to a three-dimensional world brimming with adorable characters, nature, and enchantment.
In this Domestika course, learn how to use everyday objects to create 3D illustrations from a library of shapes and textures, model them in Cinema 4D and OctaneRender, and create a scene full of color and positivity, inspired by pottery and nature.
Description
Start the course by discovering Martine's work, experiences that have had a big impact on her creative journey, and artists who inspire her such as Peter Tarka and Lisa Maria Prantl.
Get straight into your search for inspiration. Learn how to compile a catalogue of visual references to help you out when creating your mood board. Then, with a pencil, do a sketch to serve as the base of your models and create a library of textures.
Time to move on to 3D modeling! Martine teaches you how to build a catalogue of objects modeled in Cinema 4D, such as pottery, leaves, and flowers. Get stuck into modeling your final scene based on the initial sketch. Start with the ground, the background, and then add decorative elements and work on the vegetation. Martine gives you some great tips to facilitate your modeling, such as using the CV-ArtSmart plugin or the Deformers tool. Finally, work on lighting and 3D rendering in OctaneRender before finishing off with color grading in Photoshop.
Martine also shows you how to create new textures and different environments for your illustration, then put together a PDF that you can publish on social networks and share your new creations with the world!
