Animation is that place where several disciplines can converge, perhaps that was what attracted the famous Argentine illustrator and animator Alexis Moyano, a discipline where he could channel his passions both by illustration and by the audiovisual world. His humorous animations made him gain great visibility on social networks, a success that led him to work for Cartoon Network, TNT Sports, Nike, La Nación, Brahma, Fox Sports, Vans, Campari, Penguin Random House, among others.

In this course, Alexis will teach you the basics of 2D animation, how humor is built and show you the keys to find your style and produce animated content.

Learn traditional animation techniques and create fun video clips that are successful on social media

You will start the course knowing Alexis Moyano, who will tell you about his career in the creative world, about the references that have influenced him the most, and will give you a preview of what you will do during the course.

It will give you an introduction to what humor is, analyzing what makes something funny, what tools can help and dialogue as a motor of humor. You will discover how workflows in animation are, and what is Alexis' specific method.

He will share how his creative process is when receiving an assignment, with an example of an animated dialogue: you will see how to draw a concept map, ask yourself who the characters are, their relationship between them ...; then, you will prepare lists by way of brainstorming , using some techniques or "idea triggers", you will create the context and you will think about possible paths, until you reach your idea.

You will discover the importance of sound in an animation, seeing examples and analyzing them. You will deepen the dialogues of your idea, being agile and flexible in the process. You will see how to record and edit audio with Adobe Audition, and you will learn the techniques to achieve a fluid dialogue.

You will discover what an animactic and how to use it for your storyboard . Then, you will see how to create, design and then animate your characters. You'll see the basics of animation and start animating with Adobe Animate; You will also use Lipsync to synchronize the audio track with the characters.

You will do the postproduction in After Effects, taking care of the color and details. You will see how to export your material in different formats and compressions. Finally, Alexis will give you some tips to address your professional profile, and analyze your audiences to enhance your work.
