In Masquespacio, an interior and product design studio led by Ana Hernández and Christophe Penasse, user experience and communication are at the top of their priorities. Each corner they design tells a story and connects with people.

In this course, learn how to carry out an interior design project; everything from finding inspiration to the final touches. Alongside Ana Hernández, creative director of Masquespacio, you will achieve amazing results with limited resources and reuse everyday objects by following the DIY philosophy.

Description

Learn to bring spaces to life with simple DIY techniques

Start your course by getting to know Ana, her main influences and the steps she took in executing one of her favorite projects: the Valencia Lounge Hostel.

Then, discover the relationship between interior designer and client. Analyze your client’s philosophy and space, and see how to reflect the company’s DNA into a brief, translating your project into clear key concepts.

With everything laid out, learn how Ana and Christophe work on different spaces according to the needs of each project, and how to fill each environment with life. Discover the importance of collecting reference images from other spaces, organizing your work materials and color palette to create a mood board.

Wrap up your course by getting to know how to develop and present your final project, from its concept to justification of materials, colors, and textures. Ana shares some final tips on how to assemble the story of your project, present it to your client and how to execute your ideas according to the established plan.

Many of Masquespacio's projects are intimately related to the DIY philosophy. Ana gives you ideas on how to use unexpected materials for your interior design projects.

One of Masquespacio’s core beliefs is one that goes beyond aesthetics and functionality; each corner must connect with the user and tell a story. That is why, once you have learned how to define the concept of your project and have the materials selected, you will fully immerse yourself into finding the story you want to tell in the space you design.
