Kseniia Guseva

Kseniia Guseva, also known as @faimyxstitch, firmly believes that embroidery makes everything better, from that empty wall in your apartment to the sneakers you’re wearing right now. By combining upcycling and embroidery, she gives a new and more fun life to old clothes by stitching patterns on them, especially ones that depict some of her favorite cities around the world.

In this course, Kseniia teaches you basic embroidery techniques to upcycle your clothes or sneakers. Learn about materials, transfer, stitches, and how to choose colors. By the end of the course, you will be able to embroider on any kind of garment.

Description

Learn how to customize your clothes with embroidered architectural patterns

Start the course learning about Kseniia’s story and how she got into embroidery. Take a look at some of her architectural embroideries and city series, as well as some of the influences that have shaped her. She then explains in detail what it is that you’ll be learning on this course.

Get an overview on the idea of upcycling. Kseniia shows you the materials for the course and discusses the difference between fabrics, to help you understand how to approach them with embroidery. Learn how to choose colors for your projects. Learn her creative process by taking a look at how she comes up with her designs.

Learn two ways to transfer your designs onto the fabric and which one to use for which fabric. Then, start embroidering one of the designs.
