For journalist and designer Chris Bravo, better known as Little Hannah, drawing is more than a creative outlet; it transports her to a peaceful place where she can disconnect and clear her head. As a follow-up to her first course, Creative Bullet Journal: Planning and Creativity, she's back to help you make lettering part of your daily life and teach you how to express yourself with drawings, create your own designs, and bring out your artistic side at your own pace.

In this course, discover small-format lettering and add words to any design. Learn everything from the basic strokes to techniques to give your letters personality and rhythm, as well as a range of options for applying your designs to notepads, labels, cards, and even your own bullet journal.

Description

Learn to draw letters to design your own messages by applying small-format lettering in your daily life

Start the course by getting to know journalist and designer Chris Bravo, better known as Little Hannah. Hear about her career, how she created her brand and how it's grown, and the influences that inspire her on a daily basis.

Next, your teacher introduces you to the concept of lettering and explains what it entails, emphasizing that it has more to do with drawing than writing. Continue with an overview of the materials you need, including an explanation of the different marker types and the perfect kinds of paper, and then do some exercises to practice the basic strokes.

Learn to draw the letters of the alphabet, grouping them by stroke type, from lowercase to uppercase. See how to join letters to create words before moving on to numbers and symbols.

Once you're feeling comfortable with the basics, take your letters to the next level and make them dance with bounce lettering. Chris then demonstrates how to digitize your lettering designs and shows you the world of possibilities it opens up. For the finishing stroke, she teaches you how to get creative with your designs and make cards, labels, and your own stationery set with color gradients and watercolor backgrounds.
