What is the purpose of your art? Jieying Li and Guillermo Fajardo have theirs figured out: telling traditional Peruvian stories using modern methods to keep it alive and accessible. That's why they created Jumping Lomo, a studio where they transform their designs inspired by Andean culture into contemporary products.
In this course, they teach you the best practices to develop and launch your own artistic brand. By the end of the course, you'll know how to design and execute a strategy centered around your strengths, manage your business, and plan projects in line with an effective production ecosystem.
Description
Jieying Li and Guillermo Fajardo kick off the course by talking about their professional background and the story behind their studio, Jumping Lomo. They also share some of their sources of inspiration, from Peruvian culture to other artists.
Before you start building your brand, work on discovering your personal purpose: What do you like? What are you good at? What are your weaknesses? Why do you make art? When you've answered these questions, identify the characteristic features of your own style as an artist that make it stand out from the crowd.
Next, bring your ideas to life by turning your sketches into an official character. Study the feasibility of your product, the user experience, production, direct and indirect threats, and the launch.
Follow up by making a visibility and marketing plan. To wrap up the course, look at some of the best communication strategies for your artistic brand and discover how to find your own voice to tell any story you want through your content on social media.
