Can you imagine designing prints for your own product line? The graphic designer Ana Blooms specializes in the design of surfaces through illustration - mostly floral, as the name suggests - and is fascinated by the creation of prints and patterns. He currently has his own brand of stamped products and workshops where he teaches others.

In this course Ana will teach you the basics to build your own brand, which you will use to tell your story through the design of prints. You will learn some bases of illustration and the process for the design of prints. Finally you will apply three different prints to three products, creating your first capsule collection, which you can market through social networks.

Learn how to design patterns and reflect them in your first product collection

You will start the course knowing Ana, who will tell you about her personal and professional career, her creative approach and work process. In addition, he will tell you about his influences and artists he admires.

You will make an introduction to the world of branding and brands, seeing the importance of having a complete communication plan. You will learn to look for a differentiating factor and the essence of the brand, and you will see the steps to follow in a practical way, building the foundations for your final project.

You will discover how Ana approaches the creation of a collection of stamped products: from her inspiration phase, creation of a visual moodboard , choice of themes or conceptualization ... Ana will give you tips to start in this initial phase of your project Once you have your concept, you will start thinking about the products to apply your prints.

You will learn more about color, seeing the theoretical foundations and vision of Ana. Then you will assemble your color palette. You will see how to start creating your prints, you will receive tips to generate and combine them in your collection.

Ana will teach you to use her favorite illustration techniques, showing you advantages and possibilities at the moment of, for example, mixing them to achieve unique results. In parallel, it will explain the bases to illustrate flowers and leaves in watercolors, acrylics and pens or micropuntas.

You will learn what a rapport or stamping module is and its use in textiles. Then you will illustrate loose elements with pen and watercolors, to create small banks of personal images. Next you will see the step by step to illustrate with acrylics.

Ana will teach you to scan the elements, adjust their color digitally, clean them, retouch them and prepare them to assemble your composition. You will compose more than one print, using your color palette, your illustrations, concept and everything learned so far. Then you will see how to apply it to your three products, opening the spectrum of materials on which to print.

Finally, you will learn to apply your prints on digital products in a mockup . It is a great solution to not spend money and share your work on social networks. You will see tips on networks, strategy, communication and interaction that you can surely apply in your projects.
