The macramé is not only a technique, but also a lifestyle. In recent years this artistic expression has acquired great relevance from the hand of artists such as Belén Senra, who takes this art to new levels with its sophisticated pieces that decorate hotels, homes and restaurants. But the macramé is not just about decorating.
In this course you will learn to use the macramé technique to design a collection of functional and aesthetic accessories, ranging from a plant hanger to a bag. This is the second course of Bethlehem in Domestika, after Introduction to macramé : creation of a decorative tapestry , which provides a first approach to the world of macramé.
Description
You will start by knowing Belén, some of his most important works, and his sources of inspiration. Then he will briefly explain the contents of the course.
You will make a brief review of the materials that you will use to make the projects of this course, as well as a sketch of your pieces to serve as a reference.
Your first project will be a plant hanger. You will briefly review vertical gardens and how to include them in your home and thus bring nature home. Next you will create a set of plant hangers with different supports.
The second project of the course will be the creation of a macramé lamp. You will review the different styles of lamps and their uses before creating a unique and personal piece.
Finally, you will enter the fashion world by the hand of macramé bags and see their evolution and how they have become very popular in recent years. You will finish your learning and your collection of accessories by creating your own bag in macramé.
