Finding the perfect combination between photography, support and printing is crucial for a work to shine. That is precisely the mission of Fine Art photographer and printer Martín del Pozo. After a long career and a long list of collaborations with the best photographers, Martín works respecting the work of each artist from his Calaca workshop, and manages to capture the essence of each of them, in his printing projects.

In this course Martin will teach you the step-by-step process of printing giclée or fine art . You will learn to reveal your photos in RAW, postproduce them and print them in quality fine art in the medium of your choice.

Learn step by step how to develop your photos digitally, post-produce and print them in fine art quality

You will start the course knowing more about Martín, who will tell you about his beginnings, his experience in the world of printing giclée or fine art , and the challenges that have been has been presenting Also, he will name some of his artistic references.

You will make an introduction to fine art, what it is, the origins and a review of the papers and materials used in these types of prints.

Next, you will see the steps to prepare your workspace and your monitor. You will see what type of monitor can be most advantageous to you, and you will learn to calibrate it.

You will find out more about the color profiles and how to choose the right one according to your objective. Then, you will see how to work a RAW file from the beginning: the correction of color, shadows, lights, clarity and focus until the export of your file to Photoshop.

You will learn to prepare your negative to print, starting with your scanned image from the software and reviewing everything you need to have.

Then, you will review the first settings of a file for proper printing, depending on the type of paper. Then, you will go deeper into the shadows, the highlights and the lights using masks. Also, you will work with the focus and the types of grain for each support.

Next, you will discover how to choose the different papers according to their durability, texture or brand.

Finally, you will enter fully into the printing process. You will see how to send the files to print and which profiles to use. You will learn to grab the copies correctly and save them.
