Start by meeting Santos Román and learning about his more than 10 years dedicated exclusively to pet photography. See his beginnings and how he got the idea to become a professional animal photographer. In addition, he shows you the main influences that helped him find his style
Learn the different dog photography styles that you can pursue and their strengths and weaknesses. See how to take on a real photography assignment and how to deal with your client for the first time to facilitate your work on the day of the session.
See the material needed to carry out a studio photography session, the minimum equipment you should have, and everything you need to make your four-legged model look great.
Learn how to prepare the studio taking into account the dog's needs, how to receive your clients and make them feel comfortable, and last but not least, how to earn the trust of your special model, the pet.
Santos shows you all the steps of the photoshoot, from the moment you open the studio door until the client goes home with their dog. Next, see the backgrounds that you can use, how to capture the best side of each pet with different types of photography, and learn the signals that your model gives to let you know that it's time to end your session.
Select the most interesting images, develop them in Capture One, and finally, work on the last details on Adobe Photoshop until you achieve the perfect images.
