Gone are the days when it was necessary to go to a recording studio to create, produce and record music. With Ableton Live, the industry reference software, you can create your first compositions wherever you are, regardless of your musical level.

In this five-course Domestika Basics you will learn how to use the Ableton Live program for musical creation and, with basic knowledge, you will be able to record your musical ideas and achieve professional results.

With music producer Cristóbal Saavedra as your guide, you will start this series of courses knowing the interface of the program, its different audio channels, general controls and the step-by-step to start a new project.

In the second course, you will learn how to use the editor and explore some tabs like Clip and Sample, and the different modes of Audio Warp. You will know how to record and monitor external audio, in addition to knowing how the different tools work. At the end of this course there will be a practical lesson in which you will create your first project, introducing effects and variations to your liking.

The third course will be devoted to exploring the universe of instruments such as piano roll and keyboards, effects, and MIDI recording mode. You will also learn what quantization is and how to use it. Then you will put everything into practice by creating your project from MIDI clips.

At the start of the fourth course, you will discover how to combine, capture and insert scenes in Ableton. You will learn to use external devices, you will know the home tab and its different functions. Before starting the practice, Cristóbal will give you some tips so you can refine your project.

In the last stage of this Domestika Basics, you will get to know the Vista Arrangement, its characteristics and learn to make arrangements. At the end of this fifth course, you will learn how to export the audio and get the finished track.
