Description

Develop your knowledge and understanding of clinical pharmacy services while learning how to set up your own pharmacy clinic.
Improve and measure your pharmacist services

The Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) guidelines are a set of standards laid out by the World Health Organisation to ensure pharmacists provide high-quality services to every patient.

On this three-week course from Taipei Medical University, you’ll be introduced to clinical pharmacy services (CPS), one of the key roles of pharmacists, and learn what the service entails according to the GPP guidelines.

Explore current practices of CPS

Clinical pharmacy services include a range of different offerings for patients. From pharmaceutical care to medication therapy management, you’ll cover the basics of CPS and the role that a pharmacist plays in carrying them out.

You’ll also look at the current practices of CPS, using Taipei Veterans General Hospital as a teaching model, before focusing on pharmacy services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Discover the basics of how to start a clinic

Before setting up a pharmacist clinic, there are certain steps that you need to take to make sure the clinic is relevant, useful, and stays up to date.

This course will take you through each of these steps, from literature reviews and needs assessment to clinic set-up and services assessment. You’ll learn the various models for pharmacy clinics such as the drug model and the health condition model.

Learn how to evaluate clinical services

Staying on top of the latest models and pharmacy services is vital to developing and running a successful clinic.

You’ll learn about clinic assessment, including setting short- and long-term outcomes tailored to your services. As part of the assessment, you’ll also look at model literature reviews and how you can stay up-to-date with the latest successful models in pharmacy services.
