A small scroll on Instagram is enough to realize the relevance that gastronomic photography has obtained as a result of the boom of social networks. Therefore, it seems increasingly difficult to stand out in a sea of photos labeled with #foodporn .

Vega Hernando - creator of the Instagram account Eating Patterns - has not only managed to stand out, but has turned her passion for gastronomy and photography into a creative studio with which she has generated content and designed caterings, private dinners and all kinds of experiences for brands such as Estrella Damm or Adidas.

In this course you will learn to transmit creative concepts through gastronomic photography, making the most of your ingredients using visual compositions.

Description

Learn to use food as a communicative and conceptual element

You will begin to know Vega's career, everything he has done before creating Eating Patterns, how the project started and how it has led to the creation of his studio. In addition, you will know his influences in photography and art direction.

You will learn the importance of the concept behind an image before taking a photo. You will start by doing a general brainstorming about elements and colors that convey an idea, and then look up references and create a moodboard .

From the moodboard you will go to the outline of your idea, which can be raised by hand or in Photoshop, depending on the project.

In the next lesson, food will be the protagonist. You will learn to compose your ingredients on the plane with the help of cardboard and kitchen elements, and then take your picture. Vega will give you composition tips, lighting easy to create with natural light and photography, both with professional camera and with a mobile.

Once you have shot your photos, you will go to the post-production phase, where you will learn photo retouching techniques in Photoshop to eliminate spots, highlight colors and finalize your pattern .

Finally, Vega will talk about creativity to successfully carry out this and any project you propose.
