Want to capture the personality, values, and essence of a brand in your designs and show it to the world? Gabriel Sencillo, graphic designer and expert in brand creation and management, teaches you how to create an emotion-based experience for users with different graphic elements.
In this course, learn how to design a brand's visual identity from start to finish. Beginning with the logo, design all the visual communication graphics for a business to create a minimalist and direct brand identity.
Description
Start the course by getting to know Gabriel Sencillo. He talks about his professional background as a designer and shows you several of his projects. He also shares some of his biggest influences as well as the design studios and agencies that have inspired his work in one way or another.
In the next unit, learn what makes a brand and why it's more than just a logo. Study the different graphic features and communication elements that give a brand its personality and make it stand out from the rest. Look at some examples of successful branding projects to give you an idea of different types of visual identities and learn why it's important for designs to be flexible and versatile.
Then, Gabriel shows you his creative approach to projects. Analyze the competition and practice developing creative concepts and defining a brand's essence with some exercises. Once you have some ideas to work with, make a mood board with the most powerful concepts.
Continue exploring different creative avenues by drawing sketches before deciding on the final idea. Design a logotype that breaks the mold by adding elements of motion. Gabriel shows some of the tools he regularly works with and the rules he follows during the design process. He also gives you some tips on how to select the perfect typography for your project. Next, create the brand's visual identity using image vectorization.
To wrap up the process, adapt your final image to different formats and learn why it's important to have a baseline grid. Gabriel shows you the structure he uses to present his projects and shares some insights to help you make your presentation memorable.
