Inés Aguilar, designer and creator of the brand "La Casita de Wendy", will explain how to make "all over" prints (understood as repetitions of a motif across the surface or "everywhere") for textiles. You will make several rapports or repetition units and develop different finishes starting from two different manual processes, then you will learn how this design behaves in different fabrics through the technique of digital printing.

Description

Creation of repetition rapports for manual and digital printing

You will begin knowing the work and influences of Inés Aguilar.

Next, I will explain how to make two different prints.

First it will show you the different techniques that there are to transfer a drawing to a textile, it will explain what is a "rapport" or repetition unit for the printing, and then you will develop some handprints with two different techniques: one with texture and another without texture

Then you will work with the computer to obtain the rapport for digital printing. You will see the result on different fabrics and garments, the color variations, recommendations on scale and color and how to deliver the digital material to the stamper to obtain the best possible result.

Finally, Ines will give you some advice on the suitability of each type of stamp for each type of garment.
