Description
To begin, you will get to know Caro Bello and her work better. He will tell you how he got started in the creative world of the punch needle and will show you those objects and artists that inspire him.
Next, Caro will explain everything you need to know before starting. You will learn to use the magic needle correctly and you will see what the four golden rules of this technique are. You will also become familiar with the materials and discover the perfect combination of needle, fabric and wool.
Then, from the Caro stitch sample book, you will learn the possibilities offered by this type of embroidery and how the effect varies if thick or fine yarns are used, before practicing different flat and raised stitches. Then, you will prepare your final project: you will design your character and, following the advice of your teacher, you will transfer the design to the fabric.
In the next unit, it will be time to embroider. You will start from the back of the fabric, applying stitches with rollers that you will then cut to achieve a pompom effect. This will shape the hat, muzzle, and gloves. In addition, using finer thread, you will create the legs with a fur effect.
Later, you'll move on to embroidering with flat stitches on the front of the fabric. Thus, you will give life to the face and clothes of your doll, combining different stitches and types of wool to achieve a wide variety of textures. Then, you will work on the final details such as eyes, nose and decorations.
