Explosive ideas, audacity, and striking visual references are the basis for creating a recipe for foolproof design. And no one better than Nora Muñoz and Gabriel Tinoco, founders of the design and illustration studio Cherry Bomb, to guide you in this creative process.

In this course, Nora and Gabriel teach you a series of creative exercises to develop a design project, from concept to final art. As a project, they create the brand identity for a cereal brand, which will serve as an example for you to take your best ideas out of the oven and face new challenges.

Description

Explore different recipes to improve your creative process and cook up great ideas

Meet Nora and Gabriel, co-founders of Cherry Bomb, who specialize in branding, illustration, and design. Discover their main sources of inspiration and everything you are going to do throughout this course.

Under the guidance of this creative duo, take the first steps to define the recipe of your project for a delicious final result. Develop a brief by gathering all the information about your new project, studying the product, and identifying your target audience.

Then, brainstorm to find the key concepts of your project, to help you search for your first visual references. Then, complete an exercise to come up with the best ideas and create a mind map to define the direction of your work.

In the third unit, create a brand identity, giving your product a story and a name. Start designing, creating a grid for layout and developing graphic elements in Illustrator soon.

After selecting the ideas for your project and spicing them up with some visual elements, work on the presentation of the final product. The Cherry Bomb duo gives you their final tips on how to assemble your file in Keynote to present it to the client and upload it to your portfolio in an attractive and original way.
