Everyday life can serve as an endless source of inspiration for the creation of incredible stories. Turn the anecdote of the day into a fictional story with the help of narrative author Penélope Córdova.

In this Domestika course, learn to bring a fictional story to life, drawing on a real character as the inspiration for your protagonist, and how to structure your story in three parts: beginning, middle, and end. Are you sitting comfortably? Take a look around you and let's begin.

Description

Turn a real character into the protagonist of an exciting fictional story by exploring their conflicts, motivations, and goals

Start by getting to know Penélope Córdova a little better as she talks about her career so far and shares some of her books as well as her main creative influences.

Then Penélope talks about the story as a genre and introduces three different ways of approaching your project. She also lets you in on two techniques for defining a consistent personality for your character.

Next, discover how to use elements of fiction to round off your character's identity. Now it's time to give your character a goal, the motivation to achieve it, and a point of conflict before selecting some questions in order to generate tension. Explore the use of ""turning points"" and how seemingly minor events can change your story's outcome entirely.

Finish off with some tips from Penélope for making your writing routine second nature. She also goes through some of the exercises from her workshops on how to fuel your creativity.
