Get to grips with the tools and materials you’ll use in the course, learning the difference between types of yarn and how they can be used.

Alicia shares her tips to start crocheting and creating patterns, starting with how to hold your hook, how tight you should keep your stitches, how to make a sample or measure up your sections, as well as telling you what to keep in mind with each type of crochet knot. Then, start creating different textures with a knit-effect to your stitches.

Next, learn how to make patterns and discover the different types you can use to create more elaborate garments.

Move on to making your piece for your final project, first by making the back section, then the front, and then the sleeves, using your pattern for each part. Learn and use the Colorwork technique to add more colors into the same crochet piece, finishing it up with an original, fun collar.

Finally, see how to work on the finishing touches and invisible stitches, learning about different methods to inspire you to keep creating your own unique crochet pieces.
