The way of understanding fashion reflects our personality; The same goes for making miniature clothes, which becomes an extension of the model that dresses it and gives us a more complete idea of who the character in question is. After his course of Needle felting: character creation with wool and needle , Caro Indy returns, this time, to show you how to dress your creations with handmade clothing and / or with a sewing machine.

In this course you will learn the whole process, from how to generate your patterns, to having your piece fully made. Caro will teach you how to make patterns and sew miniature fashion clothes, designed by you and for your little creations, whether they are felt dolls, like those of your first year, or any other type of doll you want to create costumes for.

Description

Learn the process for design, pattern and sewing of small and original garments

You will begin by getting to know Caro, his beginnings in the creation of characters with wool felt, and how his passion for making miniature clothes came about. In addition, you will know its influences and everything from where it takes inspiration to create.

You will review the basic sewing materials you will use, such as yarns, needles, fabrics and, also, you will learn the basics of hand stitching with some stitches. If you have a sewing machine, you will learn how to use it, knowing the threading, how to achieve the first stitch, how to fill a spool and how to finish.

Next, Caro will teach you how to create your own pattern by taking the measurements of your doll, and then transfer them to paper. Then, you will see how to make modifications to it, to achieve a pincer, cleavage, pucker, etc.

Your first clothes will be basic: some socks and a pair of pants. Then you will make a shirt with raglan sleeves and a skirt, the latter with French stitching. The next level will consist of creating a little more complicated garments: a jeans shirt and pants. And as advanced level garments, you will make a dress and, as a star piece, a hooded coat.

By the end of the course, you will have made eight incredible pieces of miniature costumes.
