If something characterizes the work of the photographer Cristina Otero -who, at the age of 15, became the youngest Spanish artist to exhibit individually in a gallery- she is usually the photographer and the model herself. This has turned her into an authentic expert of the artistic self-portrait.
In this course, Cristina will show you her creative process to make a photographic self-portrait and show you how to take advantage of the whole process, especially during post-production.
Description
You will start knowing the work of Cristina, who will tell you about her evolution as a visual artist and her influences. He will also tell you why he decided to opt for the self-portrait and what attracts him the most in this photographic genre.
Then, it will guide you when looking for the idea for your project and will give you some guidelines and tips to define the materials you will need during the photo shoot.
Cristina will talk about concepts such as makeup, the symbolism of color, the importance of props, lighting and, essential in a self-portrait session: how to pose in front of the camera.
Finally, Cristina will show you the post-production process, one of the differential elements of her work. First it will show you how to do a basic touch-up with Lightroom and already in Photoshop, it will explain how you retouch your photographs, painting over them as if they were a canvas, to load your images with force.
