But first, if you've never created your own amigurumi, you may be interested in Ameskeria's introduction course Amigurumi: Creation of Characters through Crochet.
Description
To start the course, dive into the Ameskeria universe. Meet Leire Villar, the crochet expert behind the brand. She tells you about her professional background, shows you some of her latest projects, and talks about her biggest influences.
In the next unit, organize your ideas and plan out your project before your start crocheting. Search for inspiration to help you design the clothing and hair for your amigurumi. Choose a color palette, draw a sketch or a basic outline of your project, and select the materials you want to use. Leire shows you some tricks to save time while crocheting and shares some advice on how to dress your dolls to get the look you want.
Next, learn how to scale patterns so you can create designs for any doll size and out of any material. Now it's time to put your needle to work and crochet clothing for your amigurumi. Create a basic pattern for the upper-body garments and use it as a guide to make shirts, dresses, and coats. Move on to the lower body and learn how to crochet pants, overalls, and skirts with lace trim and different types of flares.
Then, switch your focus and create hair for your amigurumi using a basic pattern like before. That way, you can crochet hair for any type of doll. Learn how to make different types of hairstyles from short hair to braids, buns, and curls. Finally, create a variety of accessories to complete your doll's outfit. Start by crocheting different footwear, like shoes and boots, and then design a canotier hat.
In the last unit, add the finishing touches to your work. Leire shows you how to add facial features to give your amigurumi a more expressive look. Finally, mix and match all the pieces you've designed throughout the course and dress your amigurumi in a stylish new outfit.
